We have prepared answers below to our most commonly asked questions. If you have anything you would like to ask us that is not on the list, feel free to contact us here.

What do you do?

We are responsible for the collection, transport, recycling and disposal of residential and commercial waste.

What makes WasteLift different?

WasteLift's priority is to be the best - not the biggest - Waste Management and Recycling provider. Our uniformed teams are professional and experienced, our fleet of vehicles include all of the equipment to get the job done fast and we are fully compliant with guidelines set by Defra and the Environment Agency which is why we recycle 80% of the waste we manage.

What type of waste do you remove?

With the exception of a few hazardous materials like asbestos and toxic substances, we can manage almost anything.

What areas do you cover?

We are currently operating throughout the City of Manchester and the Greater Manchester county. This includes the City of Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Bolton, Wigan, the City of Salford and Trafford.

Are you insured to do this work?

Yes. Our vehicles and drivers are fully insured to do this work, including cover against any damage caused to a client's property when removing waste from their premises.

Are you licensed to do this work?

Yes, we are fully licensed by the Environment Agency, the executive Public Body responsible to the Secretary of State for Environmental Affairs. Our Licence Number is: CB/NE5505ZR.

Why do you charge?

Our charges reflect (1) the labour costs, (2) the expense of employing staff and (3) maintenance fees of our vehicles.

How do you charge?

As a VAT registered company, our prices are subject to VAT but we still guarantee to offer you the most competitive rates around. In general we charge by volume (i.e. how much of our truck is taken up with your waste). However, if your material is particularly heavy (e.g. rubble or concrete), we sometimes charge based on weight. Please contact us for more information.

How much notice do you require?

Try to give us as much notice as possible to ensure your waste collection can be scheduled for a time most convenient to you.
Nevertheless, if you need a job doing urgently, we can normally arrange a pick-up within 24-hours of your call.

What do you do with the waste?

We actively promote sustainable development which is why we recycle 80% of the waste we manage through donations to charities and specialist recycling facilities. Where these options are not viable, we take the waste to licensed Waste Transfer Stations to be disposed of in the greenest way possible.

Why use your service instead of a skip?

Because (1) we do all the loading and cleaning up, and (2) our charges reflect only the volume of waste we remove. With skip hire you have to pay for the entire volume of the skip, regardless of how much you fill. There is also the added hassle and expense of having to apply for a skip hire permit in advance, and the fact that you have to do all the loading and clearing up yourself!
